Why are frequently balance point guard?
I've noticed that the balance points in knives and swords are often right on guard. Why is that? Using a kukri ghurka work ahead, I can say that there is a balance point in Button arms does seem to do better. Axes and cleavers are good examples to make the biggest tool work more. Why is this not the more modern fixed blade knives?
The country's best point of balance really depends on what knife will be used for. A machete as a machete, kukri or machete needs a point forward in order to balance power kinetic runs in the material being cut. A craft knife would be better served by a rearward balance point to control Best cuts fine. If the balance point is near the index finger, the knife will feel lighter than another with same weight, but a blade-heavy balance. This is because you do not have to exert torque on the grip to keep up point. This could be a selling point for those who do not understand that different blade, designed to make things different, have different balance.
